Changes to MCPS Calendar

On Thursday Dec. 2, the Board Of Education approved changes to the MCPS 2021-2022 calendar. It has come to the attention of the Board that MCPS teachers are in need of more planning and preparation time for their classes, so the decision was made to add three early release days to accommodate planning and preparation.

The new edits include Wednesday, Jan. 12; Thursday, March 24; and Wednesday, May 18, 2022 confirmed as early release days.

There has been a system-wide closure of Thursday, Dec. 23, maintaining the 181 days of full instruction.
