60,000,000 – Number of people who live in Italy. The entire country has been placed on lockdown to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

842 – Number of pledged delegates former Vice President Joe Biden has as of yesterday’s primaries. Bernie Sanders is trailing with 681. 

383 – Number of β€œYay” votes in the Russian Duma on constitutional amendments that allow President Vladimir Putin to stay in power for another 12 years, effectively granting him two more presidential terms. The Russian people will vote on this constitutional referendum April 22. No β€œNay” votes were cast, but there were 43 abstentions. Putin has been in power for more than 20 years. 

32 – Number of days left until Spring Break.

10 – The 10 worst-performing stocks from Monday’s S&P 500 report were all oil producers. According to the New York Times, all of the companies were down more than 30% as crude oil prices plunge as a result of a price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia.

9 – Number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Maryland, as reported by the Maryland Department of Health. Several colleges in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area have canceled classes, but whether MCPS will make the decision to close its schools remains a question plaguing many MCPS community members’ minds.
