Grammy Performers
With the Grammys posing as the biggest annual concert each year and with every performance being watched from all over the world simultaneously, let’s take a look at some of the most memorable ones from this year’s award show.
Dua Lipa kicked off the Grammy with her opening medley consisting of three of her top songs, βTraining Seasonβ, βDance the Nightβ and βHoudiniβ. The set consisted of rotating metal bars and blue stage lights, along with tons of group choreography. Lipa was nominated for two awards this year for βDance the Night.β
One of the most Iconic performances from Sunday Night was country artist Luke Combs and Tracy Chapman performing her 1988 hit βFast Carβ. The song had brought waves of success to both of them, Combs covering the song in early 2023 causing it to re-enter and top country charts. They took the stage and sang a duet rendition of the track.
A more peculiar moment of Sunday night Grammys was Miley Cyrusβ performance of her hit song βFlowersβ. She took the stage with a strong seventies-inspired outfit and hairdo and strong vocals. This was only her second time performing the song live, but it was as if she had done this thousands of times before. A little way into the song, Miley jokes to the crowd βWhy are you acting like you don’t know this song?β She won Record of the Year for βFlowersβ later into the night.
Last but certainly not least, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas took the stage to perform a heart-wrenching rendition of βWhat Was I Made For,β the Oscar-winning song of the Barbie movies soundtrack. Their setup was a simple one with Finneas on the piano and Billie sitting beside him, but despite this, their performance was one of the most memorable. βWhat Was I Made Forβ gifted the duo two Grammys Sunday night, winning Record of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media.
