Blake’s First Ever Financial Club Takes Off – Join JHB Capital

Blake’s first Business & Economics Club has the answer to all of your finance questions – we address real-world issues, provide practical, hands-on learning to help you master your financial skills, and so much more! Join us to gain the knowledge and insight you need to navigate the business world with confidence and efficiency. 

In addition to learning practical personal finance and meeting aspiring leaders and entrepreneurs, you can expand your knowledge and skills in global-scale economics, investment risks and strategies, business management, pitching ideas, venture capital, and public speaking. We participate in international business pitching and trading competitions such as the Wharton Trading Challenge, along with several others. In fact, this year we will be participating in the National Blue Ocean Competition, the most prestigious and largest pitch competition for high school students in the world! These contests and activities provide students with opportunities for fun, real-life practices of business skills. As a high schooler, students have nothing to lose by participating and can open up their minds to new knowledge and experiences – after all, there is no better time to learn and develop these skills than now.

We strive to maintain a fee-free club that offers strong qualifications for academic resumes. Beyond learning basic financial skills for everybody, this club is especially perfect for anyone interested in pursuing a career in just about anywhere from economics and finance to political/data science and foreign policy even involving humanities and STEM.

We meet every Wednesday in D153. While many of our activities are done outside of meetings, we use meetings as a way to sign up for competitions, brainstorm business ideas, and participate in workshops, pitches, and presentations. 

As a new club, we are looking for strong personalities and impactful leaders who can fully embrace and extend the influence of our club. Join now and help build Blake’s first business club!
