A Big Feat for Blake: A Third Pep Rally
Not one, not two, but three pep rallies this year at Blake! On Friday, March 27th, Blake will have its first spring pep rally after six years. The reasoning for another pep rally is to bring spirits up before spring break. Ms. Taylor stated how βwe used to have multiple pep rallies per year, and we wanted to bring that back.β As some people might not have something to look forward to, the pep rally might at least boost some morale.
The performances at the pep rally will include the K-pop club yet again, as well as the drumline.
The games at the pep rally include Stack the Box, where students will try to stack the boxes and try to say the word Bengals at the same time, by class. And the last game will be a potato sack game, similar to the fall pep rally.
Currently, the SGA is figuring out what to give out to students at this pep rally, but it will include the same beads and sunglasses as the fall pep rally. But that does mean that the pep rally will take place outside to enjoy the nice weather!
As for the spirit week, Monday was meme day, where students dressed up as their favorite memes. Tuesday will be Country vs Country club, where students choose to either dress like a stereotypical wild west cowboy, or like an old white man who plays tennis. Wednesday will be Jersey vs Jersey Shore, where students could either dress in their best sports jersey, or like someone in the reality TV show, Jersey Shore. Thursday will be by rhyme without a reason, where students pair up and dress like two things that rhyme, but arenβt related. And lastly, Friday students can wear our school colors! No Pajamas day this spirit week, Bengals!
